THE COLLECTOR Playlist

"Yeah, you could say I'm musically slutty. My taste in music gets around." -Georgia Cates
This is a compilation of songs that tell of the struggles that Dante and Charlie go through and really just compliment the book. So sit back relax and enjoys the music!

1. Love is Blindness  Jack White

At first Dante is completely opposed to anything Charlie. He doesn’t see anything other than an assignment and promotion. The thought of giving anything up for Charlie is ludicrous. But once he starts to care for and love Charlie the only thing that matters is her safety.

2. Can’t Hold Us Macklemore & Ryan Lewis -Ft. Ray Dalton

Dante is a party boy. He loves to set it off and he’s got endless swag. He is the ultimate teenager and I think this is a cool party anthem.
3. Bad Company Five Finger Death Punch

Hello! Dante is a demon so he’s about the worst company you can hold :). He is bad and he admits it and revels in the fact (at least in the beginning). He specializes in corruption so this one was kind of a no brainer.
4. The Devil Within Digital Daggers

This song is more of a focus on Charlie. She is this innocent girl who had no business being involved with Boss Man and a soul contract. The insecurity that Dante put in her through his hot and cold attention and the soul contract was more of a silent killer. And that is what this song is about.
I will be here
When you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you

5. Party Rock Anthem LMFAO

I couldn’t leave this one out. I was just too great. This encompasses Dante’s life before he kicked the bucket. All party all the time.
6. Sexy and I Know it LMFAO

Dante said it best, he is “Finger-Lickin’-Delicious”. He is most definitely sexy and he most definitely knows it ;).
7. Monster Skillet

There is a monster inside Dante. He is a selfish guy who cares about himself and loves to see others condemned and when bad things happen to them. And He loves to be the one that inflicted the pain. But then things change and he starts to struggle. His old nature and the man he should be are fighting and this is the struggle played out.

8. Release the Panic Red

This is the aftereffects of the soul contract. When Charlie tries to stop asking for new things the contract makes it impossible to resist because of the pain she goes through. And it is a slippery slope from asking for better hair to sealing her soul to Hell.

9. Damage Red

This is the old Dante in a nutshell. He wreaked havoc everywhere he went. He was covered in shame. And he became tired of being who he was.

10. Say Goodbye Skillet
This is what Dante felt like when he went to see his mom in regards to his relationship with Charlie. He liked where they were and possibly wanted to move forward and then Charlie ave him the cold shoulder. This is how he felt.

P.S.These songs to me just really went with the book, no particular scene or struggle just a broad blanket that covered a lot of the story.
11. Broken Crown Mumford and Sons
12. No Church in the Wild Jay Z
13. One Girl Revolution Superchick (Charlies song)

Rain's Review: Invisibility by David Levithan and Andrea Cremer

Invisibility

Invisibility

Synopsis

Stephen has been invisible for practically his whole life — because of a curse his grandfather, a powerful cursecaster, bestowed on Stephen’s mother before Stephen was born. So when Elizabeth moves to Stephen’s NYC apartment building from Minnesota, no one is more surprised than he is that she can see him. A budding romance ensues, and when Stephen confides in Elizabeth about his predicament, the two of them decide to dive headfirst into the secret world of cursecasters and spellseekers to figure out a way to break the curse. But things don’t go as planned, especially when Stephen’s grandfather arrives in town, taking his anger out on everyone he sees. In the end, Elizabeth and Stephen must decide how big of a sacrifice they’re willing to make for Stephen to become visible — because the answer could mean the difference between life and death. At least for Elizabeth. ~Goodreads

Review

This book had some very high standards to live up to. I love David Levithan’s writing style and everything I’ve read of his has been a favorite. But I haven’t ever read an Andrea Cremer. So with that being said here is what I have to say.
Invisibility is one of the most unique paranormal books I have ever read. If for no other reason than the subject matter that makes is paranormal. I mean an invisible boy? And not just temporarily but like born that way? Yep, I would have picked up this book no matter who wrote it. I put this book on my to-read shelf on Goodreads in February and as I was scouring the web for any information it would give me about Invisibility I checked David Levithan’s Facebook. Omageeze I am so glad I did. I found out the He and Andrea Cremer would be in Seattle the day after Invisibility went live and I totally squealed. Like in the middle of Starbucks. So long story short I went to the signing, made a complete fool of myself (But that's what life is for, right? *crickets chirp*), and got Every Me, Every You and Invisibility signed. WOOT. So now that you know the back story here is the actual review.
This will be an interesting endeavor...
Stephen is a breath of fresh air. I really love the hot swoony guys who make me sigh and blush and all that jazz. But Stephen is different and I really liked him- a lot. And since he has been invisible to everyone since birth he obviously grew up in isolation from the outside world and doesn't know how to make a lick of conversation, right? Wrong! Stephen has spent his life observing human interaction and this has made him a great conversationalist with humor to boot.
Elizabeth isn't your run of the mill paranormal female lead. Though she does make some mistakes  she isn't an idiotic boy crazy stereotypical chick who when you see your like, “Are you naturally that stupid or do you have to work at it? She has a pricklier side but it just makes her more resilient to the crappy situations the fates enjoy giving her. But he is also protective, caring, a little self conscious, and of course funny.
Invisibility will find its not so invisible place on my shelf. It will stand in all its proud glory and ensnare me again and again in it’s fantastical pages. Made possible by a blog post not meant to be any more than a happy authors daydream.

We stop in the middle of the living room. His eyes sweep the space.
"you've got a box infestation," he says. "I'm afraid it's serious."
I laugh, heading to the kitchen to grab a knife. When I come back to the living room, Stephen pushes a box towards me.
"I've found it," he says. "This is the box for us."
"So be it."

Call Me Crazyby Quinn Loftis

Synopsis

“I’m looking out from inside the chaos. It must be a one-way mirror because no one seems to be able to see back inside to where I am. The looks on their faces, the judgment in their eyes, tells me everything I need to know. The most frustrating part about the whole messed up situation is that even though I’m the one that they stare at in shock, I am just as shocked as they are. I know no more than they do of why I lose control. What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker

Call Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis

What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker After a devastating turn of events, seventeen year old Tally Baker is admitted to Mercy Psychiatric Facility where she is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. She has come to a place where she honestly believes that her life is over. Her mind tells her that she will never smile or laugh again, that she will never be normal again. It is in this unlikely place that she meets two people, different in every way, yet both critical to helping her realize that she has so much more living to do. Candy, a cantankerous sixty year old Mercy Psychiatric patient, is hell bent on driving everyone as crazy as she is. Candy shows Tally that, regardless of her diagnosis, the ability to push on and live her life to the fullest is her choice and hers alone. In the midst of Tally’s oftentimes humorous, sometimes heart-wrenching, escapades with Candy, a new patient is admitted to Mercy—a Native American woman named Lolotea. Along with this new patient comes a daily visitor, her son, Trey Swift. At first glance, it is obvious to Tally that he is incredibly handsome and unbelievably caring. But what she learns through her second glance, and many thereafter, is that there is much more to Trey than he ever lets on. It is during these daily visits that Trey and Tally build a friendship far deeper than either of them truly realize. With Trey, Tally feels for the first time since being admitted that someone is looking at her as a person and not as a disease. Trey begins to make it clear that he wants more than friendship, but she knows that she can never give him more. How can she, when she won’t even give him the truth? Tally doesn't tell Trey that she is a patient at Mercy, and she doesn't ever plan to. Her plans go up in flames when she finds out that Trey is a new student at her school, the school where her brokenness was found out in the floor of the girl’s bathroom in a pool of her own blood.~Goodreads

Review

Call Me Crazy was insane! Alright, I've made my lame joke. Now onto the review. I abso-friggin’-lutely loved-with all my book nerd heart-this book. The issue I find with a lot of the contemporary romance novels and some paranormal books is that the issues are mundane. Especially compared to epic quests and blood spilling battles that come along with most paranormal, fantasy, and sci-fi novels. But I did not have this problem with Call Me Crazy. Though the plot twists lacked Ms. Lotis’ usual MO of elf kings, witches, warlocks it didn't lack in intensity. The life and difficulties that came with Tally’s bipolar disorder and Trey’s home life kept me up until 3:30 am the day it came out.
Tally is one of the two main characters. She is such a mix of personality traits that it can be hard to get a grasp on her. Once you do, however, you make such a deep emotional connection that I had a really hard time calling her out on her bad decisions. Tally in all of her Tally-ness is so lovable and surprisingly relate able. She is strong, determined, sarcastic and funny. But she is also self conscious and a little timid.
Trey has got to be one of the most intense character I have ever “met” and that is coming from reading every single Quinn Loftis, and Shelly Crane book, the pteron series by Alyssa Rose Ivy and the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. So with this being said I am sure you can imagine he is quite the protective, possessive, caring, fierce fellow. He reminded me quite a bit of Decibel from the Grey Wolves Series. I definitely fell for him.
So all in all Tally and Trey= Awesome. Call Me Crazy= Another win for Quinn Loftis.

“I’ll remember that.”
“That I’m harsh?” She asked and her eyes flicker with curiosity.
“No, I’ll remember to make my kiss worthy of the bases.”

I’m across the space that was between us and standing in front of Trey faster than I knew I could move. I smack her hand away [from his chest] and glare at her.
“Back the hell up,” my voice is surprisingly calm considering the jealousy and anger that is pulsing through me. Amber stares at me with utter disdain and if I could even bring myself to care, I wouldn't. I feel a strong arm come around me and pull me against a firm stomach. I feel warm breath on my neck and nearly pass out when I feel lips just behind my ear.
“Good morning.” Trey whispers against it.
