THE COLLECTOR Playlist

"Yeah, you could say I'm musically slutty. My taste in music gets around." -Georgia Cates
This is a compilation of songs that tell of the struggles that Dante and Charlie go through and really just compliment the book. So sit back relax and enjoys the music!

1. Love is Blindness  Jack White

At first Dante is completely opposed to anything Charlie. He doesn’t see anything other than an assignment and promotion. The thought of giving anything up for Charlie is ludicrous. But once he starts to care for and love Charlie the only thing that matters is her safety.

2. Can’t Hold Us Macklemore & Ryan Lewis -Ft. Ray Dalton

Dante is a party boy. He loves to set it off and he’s got endless swag. He is the ultimate teenager and I think this is a cool party anthem.
3. Bad Company Five Finger Death Punch

Hello! Dante is a demon so he’s about the worst company you can hold :). He is bad and he admits it and revels in the fact (at least in the beginning). He specializes in corruption so this one was kind of a no brainer.
4. The Devil Within Digital Daggers

This song is more of a focus on Charlie. She is this innocent girl who had no business being involved with Boss Man and a soul contract. The insecurity that Dante put in her through his hot and cold attention and the soul contract was more of a silent killer. And that is what this song is about.
I will be here
When you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you

5. Party Rock Anthem LMFAO

I couldn’t leave this one out. I was just too great. This encompasses Dante’s life before he kicked the bucket. All party all the time.
6. Sexy and I Know it LMFAO

Dante said it best, he is “Finger-Lickin’-Delicious”. He is most definitely sexy and he most definitely knows it ;).
7. Monster Skillet

There is a monster inside Dante. He is a selfish guy who cares about himself and loves to see others condemned and when bad things happen to them. And He loves to be the one that inflicted the pain. But then things change and he starts to struggle. His old nature and the man he should be are fighting and this is the struggle played out.

8. Release the Panic Red

This is the aftereffects of the soul contract. When Charlie tries to stop asking for new things the contract makes it impossible to resist because of the pain she goes through. And it is a slippery slope from asking for better hair to sealing her soul to Hell.

9. Damage Red

This is the old Dante in a nutshell. He wreaked havoc everywhere he went. He was covered in shame. And he became tired of being who he was.

10. Say Goodbye Skillet
This is what Dante felt like when he went to see his mom in regards to his relationship with Charlie. He liked where they were and possibly wanted to move forward and then Charlie ave him the cold shoulder. This is how he felt.

P.S.These songs to me just really went with the book, no particular scene or struggle just a broad blanket that covered a lot of the story.
11. Broken Crown Mumford and Sons
12. No Church in the Wild Jay Z
13. One Girl Revolution Superchick (Charlies song)

Review: The Collector: A Dante Walker Novel

The Collector: A Dante Walker Novel by Victoria Scott
The Collector (Dante Walker, #1) He makes good girls...bad.

Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome, and he knows it. His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence have made him one of hell’s best—a soul collector. His job is simple: weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp. Old Saint Nick gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones. Bag-and-tag.

Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante’s an equal-opportunity collector and doesn't want it any other way. But he’ll have to adjust, because Boss Man has given him a new assignment:

Collect Charlie Cooper’s soul within ten days.

Dante doesn't know why Boss Man wants Charlie, nor does he care. This assignment means only one thing to him, and that’s a permanent ticket out of hell. But after Dante meets the quirky Nerd Alert chick he’s come to collect, he realizes this assignment will test his abilities as a collector…and uncover emotions deeply buried. ~ Goodreads

Review:
Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome. The Collector is flippin’ amazing. And Victoria Scott is flippin’ phenomenal.
Dante Walker: Enter the egotistical jerk of a leading male and through whom you read the entire book. Hundreds of pages filled with his thoughts and perspective. Dialogue heard through his demonic ears and sights seen through his judgmental eyes.  Sounds great, doesn't it? Well I have to give Ms. Scott props, it was original. She didn't sweeten it up or give us readers and easy road to falling for him.
Charlie Cooper: Here she is, the magnificently innocent leading female.  There is seriously no way not to love Charlie. She gets caught in the cross fire of Dante’s life and takes everything with stride. She isn't perfect, but who is?  But when does mess up she takes responsibility and does what she can to fix it. She is smart and trusting and I can’t find one thing I don’t like about her.
Victoria Scott did a phenomenal job. I was anticipating this book with great intensity for months and all the pining paid off. The writing was flawless. The characters were life-like. And the plot was seamless. I was in a reading coma for 8 hrs-no joke- while reading this book. Incredible all around.

“Dante,” Blue says, like he has a brilliant idea, “Let’s get some French fries. Do they have French fries here?”
“French Fries!” Charlie punches her arm in the air and hits the roof of the cab.
The cabbie looks at me with utter defeat, like he’s seen this a million times and has finally accepted his fate.

Annabelle covers her mouth to keep from laughing, then lays her head on Blue’s shoulder. He in turn lays his head against the window, and Charlie lays her head on Annabelle’s shoulder.  They look like fallen dominoes. Or fallen soldiers. Or maybe just drunk asses. I tandem, the close their eyes and pass out.

It’s the ultimate insurance plan against disaster. Or so she thought. Addie loves her life just as it is, so her answer should be easy. One Search six weeks into the future proves it’s not.

In one potential future, Addie is adjusting to life outside the Compound as the new girl in a Norm high school where she meets Trevor, a cute, sensitive artist who understands her. In the other path, Addie is being pursued by the hottest guy in school—but she never wanted to be a quarterback’s girlfriend. When Addie’s father is asked to consult on a murder in the Compound, she’s unwittingly drawn into a dangerous game that threatens everything she holds dear. With love and loss in both lives, it all comes down to which reality she’s willing to live through . . . and who she can’t live without. -Goodreads

Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance. -Goodreads
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1)  Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.

As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.

They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers a barbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love - one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human—or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.- Goodreads

I cannot wait for this new book. I have been waiting quite impatiently and I still have 24 days left! Ugh! I have extremely high hopes for this book. It is extremely original and I can't wait to see what Victoria Scot does with this. Dante Walker in the ultimate bad boy and thus my weakness (I love my bad boys). Charlie sounds like such a fun girl and I just canot wait to get to know these characters. The fact that the book is is the male's POV makes it that much more appealing to me. I love to get inside the boys head to see what he's thinking.
I will be keeping you updated here, on my Twitter, and on Facebook. And make sure to check out Dante's website and Victoria Scott's :)
